Well in next couple months ill start restoring a 1961 D17 Allis Chamlers tractor. All I need to do is file the points clean. beat his dents out and a fresh paint job. Planning on making it into a memorial tractor for my 94 yr grandpa. He was a farmer, bus driver, and oil driller. Anyone have some antique tractor restores to show off.

I'm in the middle of a painfully slow ford 8n. Its split in half, I'm just waiting on the motivation to order my rebuild kit(almost no compression on 3 cyl's)

Engine is already on the stand, too

Cool. I just finished a 1937 Minneapolis Moline ZTU with a factory 4 row cultivator. It was from my grandpas collection. I will post some pics tomorrow.

Just got this one running a little while back. Its my wife's (step)grandpa's but it belonged to her real grandpa when he was alive. I refer to her step grandpa as grandpa though. He was very ill a little while back and could barely leave chair.(bad lung infection) to make him feel better I went over and worked on a lot of things to provide company and help him feel bettr. That wd45 trike was locked up and had not ran for 20-30 years nobody remembers exactly. Had it running pretty good though, then got his IH cub going, and he got better and I was slammed at work. So soon I will start on getting the wide front wd45 running. He's doing the best I have seen him do in years! He has even traveled to tractor bone yards to pickup odds and ends I need for them. Now i believe he wants them restored. Few more pics. Good luck with it OP!

Man I want a tractor so bad...

My dad had several old Ford tractors back in the day. Wish I had one of them.

Very cool project! I actually have my grandfather's tractor that I will be restoring and using when I retire. It is a :fordoval:, but I cant remember the model number. The tractor and I have a love hate relationship, I was driving, fell off and the rear wheel ran directly over my chest when I was 5. I am lucky to still be here! It was the only time I ever remember seeing fear in my grandfather's eyes.....

Here are some pictures. Nevermind the overspray on the rear tires they are getting replaced.

My great grandpa bought this tractor brand new in 1950, been in the family since, Older picture is the first time it had ran in over 20 years, Grandpa and I spent every weekend for a year and a half working on getting it restored, great time spent.
