Towing Tunes

I have an economy tow tune on my truck. I usually dont use it b/c the regular economy tune has enough power to do what I need. Does a tow tune have anything special about it? In the mode I tow with I get high temps pretty easy. Would the tow tune help keep the temps down or not? The tow tune seems to be hotter than the one I am using now as far power goes so I have been assuming it would make even higher temps than the one I am pulling with.

Usually tow tunes are written with higher shift points and more converter lock up to aid and in helping loads moving and keeping trans temps down and to aid in engine braking
