Name is Chris, I bought a 2001 XLT Excursion last Feb primarily to tow the boats. I targeted towing capacity as my deciding factor for this vehicle. Although I'm not faithful to any one brand, out of the 4 manufactures sitting in my driveway, I did fall in live with the Excursion styling. Hence the quest has begun to perfect what I've bought, correct the last owners' short changed mods/maint, learn along the way, and revive my past semi gear-head, now hobbyist ways. As a 47 Y/O bachelor, father of two rescues, homeowner, business owner, slave to the truck, I'm more apt to sandbag than post, gathering info along the way. I've done a lot to the X the last year, mostly corrective and proper maint, sourcing all the NOS, and OE parts I can find. I do like a mod here and there, mainly a purest, but surely not looking to blow smoke anywhere. :toast:
