Less lag, quicker spool up. They are easy to change with the turbo off--can't remember if there is enough room to do it on the truck. I like it much better than the 1.15 stock housing for a daily driver

I like it better for towing with the stock sticks. builds boost faster off the line. Couldn't tell you temp wise--I installed a intercooler at the same time. Never had problems keeping egt in check with 10,000# behind me

How is it as far as towing and EGT's?

How is the EGT's with the intercooler and the 1.0? I have everything to install an intercooler but the pipes.

Turbo has to come off to install one. I liked it when I ran one at this altitude.

Would I need any other parts to install the 1.0 housing or is it unbolt the 1.15 and bolt on the 1.0?

Will a dealer or auto parts store have them?

Is there a o-ring or gasket between the turbo housing?

Anything else I should do while the turbo is off?

You will need two each of the A and B O-rings
There is a metal gasket that seals the turbo to the collector.
This would be a good time to do uppipes and dounts.

Turbo Pedestal O-Rings (between pedestal & block; pedestal & turbo)
(Ford) F4TZ-6N653-A & -B
(International) 1815560C1 & 1815561C1

Use a lot of anti-seize on the housing bolts. Fresh bolts may be a good idea. Torque them to the proper value. My housing loosened up and ate up the turbo when the bolts were not torqued correctly.

I used mine with stageII injectors and intercooler towing 10k with a 385hp tow burn. I liked it. Good low-midrange compared to the stock 1.15, not much loss of topend power at 408hp with the stock muffler (everything else was changed though).

Is the International o-rings better than the Ford ones?

:whs:

Our local Ford dealer gets most of that kind of stuff from the local International dealer.

I called the local Ford dealership and they had both those part numbers in stock. I will be picking them up when I get my CCV o-rings. Gonna do the CCV mod and turn the CCV housing around so it is easier to run the hose.
