Well after 3 water pumps, 3 thermostats, 2 ECT sensors, swapping to a aluminum radiator I finally installed the 7.3 fan clutch and adapter.

Before install

60mph
ECT 212-220 - EOT 218-224

After install
ECT 192 - EOT 196

now I don't have to worry about my truck runny hot. If you're on the fence about installing it don't worry about it and just do it! No it is not locked up 100% of the time and it is no louder than the EOM clutch.

I pulled 12k with it this weekend driving 60mph into a 35mph head wind and 82ish degrees and it stayed at ECT 195 and EOT 201 and didn't budge.
This by far is the best mod I've installed and well worth the 133$
Amazon sells the adapter and the Hayden HD 2835 clutch = 133$ Total. My AC is twice as cold as before as well and if you have problems with high temps or pull anything I highly recommend this mod. Thanks, JT

you mean just the fan blades? I don't know 7.3's so forgive me, does the 6.0 fan blades move more air then the 7.3 fan blades? I can tell you the 7.3 fan clutch is awesome on my 6.0.

The stock metal fan on OBS are kinda pathetic. The 6.0 fan will mount directly on the stock fan clutch. Real nice mod

I did mine a while back. Works really well. I gross 25-30k regularly in 100+ weather up and down hills and it’s a huge improvement.
