2006 xlt key fab

Bought my truck and it came with a key fab but it doesn't work tried to program it by turning the key on and off 7 times and I it didn't do anything. Came to the conclusion that my truck didn't come with that feature. Is there anyway to add an oem key fab module to my truck. Maybe even like a plug and play kind of thing. Let me know what you guys think. Not a necessity for me but it would be a nice feature. I'd like to use oem parts. I'd rather no have like a viper system or anything like that. Let me know

If I'm not mistaken, you turn the key on and off 8 times and when you get to the 8th on position you leave the ignition on and hit a button on the key fab. This is just from memory from my old truck so I maybe incorrect, but you can give that a try.

Yeah 7 or 8 it worked on my buddy's truck but not mine
