Axle compatablity

Are all SuperDuty axle housings the same? I have a 3L 3.73 rear end

I have a 08 with a problem...

Rear axle, all the 05-10 SRW were the same housing.

If you don't mind, how did you manage that one?

previous owner had traction bars welded directly to the axle. The weld was stronger than the Axle housing, and ended up tearing a hole in the housing.

I removed them, got PMF bars, and welded a patch over the hole. It must have not been enough, and this is where i'm at.

Found an complete rear off of a 08 F350 for 600 bucks. I'll swap everything over and hopefully be able to sell the axles and carrier, and recoup some cash.
