The crack team at discount managed to cross-thread one of my rear studs - I did a search but couldn't find anything. Does anyone have a link to R&R instructions. I can't tell if it's going to be a PITA or not.

Go to ford and get an oem stud. As far as the replacement goes, they press in and out. Not a bad job at all.

do you have to disassemble the rear hub to get them out?

The last time I did this I had to pull the hub off.

are there any parts other than the stud I need to order (i.e. any seals or axle nut in the hub that shouldn't be re-used)?

I would do a new wheel seal just to be on the safe side if you end up pulling the hub.
