Using shackles with reverse leveling blocks?

It wasn’t until after purchasing a 2019 F250 CC Shortbed 4x4 with factory 20” wheels, that I realized the top of the cab (above the rear window) wouldn’t clear my garage door header.

I installed a PMF Suspension reverse leveling kit with the 1.5” tapered blocks. This is the maximum drop they recommend that won’t affect the driveline angle or require different shocks.

Close but no cigar.

I’m still about 1/2” too tall.

Can I install a pair of lowering shackles, in conjunction with the shorter blocks, to gain the extra 1/2” (or more) of drop that I’m needing?

Will the addition of shackles cause driveline issues, or handling problems, or the need for different shocks?

Your help and expertise are appreciated!

I have a 2017 F350 CCLB with 4800# front springs, no rear block (3" rear block) and PMF drop shackles set to 3/4" rear drop. 1.5" front drop and 3-3/4" rear drop.

I have almost 80k miles on my truck. I've been lowered with no rear blocks for over 60k miles now and have yet to have a driveline issue, my truck makes more power than most 17-19's now too and still zero driveline issues. However, I have a lot of suspension mods being lowered. KING Racing 2.5" reservoir custom length shocks, OUO 3-link ALA'S, OUO Traction Bars, Hellwig Big Wig Rear Sway Bar, and Airlift 5000 rear air bags. I also have a full steering linkage kit from PMF but I don't really think that matters too much being lowered or stock height, I did it because stock FoMoCo steering kept going out on me.

Clears my 7'-0" garage by about an inch. And I have cab lights too. I still have my full leaf packs in too.

Is a 2.5" shock that much more worth it or "better riding" for a street truck than the 2.0" units

Honestly? No not IMO but it takes a lot of the harshness of bumps away and I feel like they tend to adjust better for body roll than 2.0's do. I notice the faster you go with 2.5's the better the truck feels, my old 2.0's never felt like that in past trucks. It's hard to explain unless you experience it

I'm interested in lowering mine about 2" as well. I just upgraded from a 2008 to a 2019 and my 5th wheel is now nose high. I can adjust 2" out of the pin box, but i'll then be about about 4" of clearance between the bed rails and the camper. A little closer than I would like, and if I can drop the truck 2" I would feel more comfortable. Not to mention it would be easier for me to reach into the bed. These newer trucks are just getting super tall in stock form.
