I just put some new Cooper STT Pros on my 2014 250 with stock wheels and the rub the radius arm. I got these because I knew that 35s would rub. These are supposed to be almost an inch less than the 35s. I read a ton about people putting this size on their truck and not rubbing. I'm not sure if they rub because the profile is a little more square and not rounded or because the edges have knobbies on them.

Any thoughts?

thats a 35.1" tall tire and a little over 11" wide.

i ran toyo at2 extremes in that size on stock rims and no level or lift and it was fine.

It's stock height right now. I got these because they weren't as wide as the 35s and read everywhere that they would NOT rub. Is it the profile that makes the difference? My buddy has 295/70/18 and he has a tiny rib mark on the radius arm. He has Nitto Terra Grapplers.

Is the rubbing going to do anything but rub some paint off the radius arm or is there something to worry about?

A 295/70/18 is 34.3" tall. If he had rubbing why did you think a 295/65/20 at 35.4" tall wouldn't?

What does the height have to do with rubbing on the inside of the tire on the radius arm? It's the width that causes the rubbing..please correct me if I'm wrong

Grab a big plate and a little plate, stand them on their edges on a table and turn them like a wheel would turn.

A little bit of rubbing shouldn't do anything more than take some paint off. That's all my 35 12.50s did on my stock wheels.

Not meaning to sound like an azz so I hope nobody took it that way. I was just trying to compare it to something you could physically do yourself to see the difference.

No offense taken. It was a good analogy. I was just disappointed because I thought they weren't going to rub. Maybe it's the 295/60/20s that don't rub. It's all good. It's not too bad.

Thanks!

Got a picture of them on the truck? Been wanting to see those in that size with no lift.

Definitely looks good. Stuffed tire look is a good one. Miss it sometimes. I fit 20x10 -24 and 35x12.50s and had the smallest rub on the front bumper, removed the bracket and was good stock.
