Figured id post up for the people out there wanting info on a decent setup for the 6.0. This isnt exactly what i wanted as far as setup goes but im very happy with it especially as the price and how it panned out for me.

here is what i did.

Powermax turbo
175/75 injectors
solid up pipe
Regulated return

prior to installing the regulated return i was having diving fuel pressure problems, it holds Much better with the RR but on wot at lower speeds it will still dive to 20psi so i havent been getting on the truck much at the lower end until i get that worked out.

Once i got the truck back together we got it up to operating temp with the stock programming, you could tell it had more power already it ran amazing on stock tune, once up to operating temp we changed the tune back to my previous extreme street from innovative. Again we let the trans learn etc and gave it a few runs, runs damn good but its a little smokey, didnt beat on it really got back off the next highway offramp and decided i wanted more, got back on and got on it a little harder it pulls great! got to the top of the onramp and noticed a weird sound that changed tone/sound with speed pulled over checked it out couldnt see anything out of the norm went back to my shop to figure out where it was coming from, long story short my buddy tyler runs a 4x4 shop next to mine and from listening to it he swore my pinion was done. sure enough pull the diff cover to find 3 pieces of my pinion gear in the bottom of the housing. I had planned on changing my ratio back to 3.73 but wasnt expecting to do it so soon. a week and a whole lot of work i regeared it back to 3.73.

Now that ive been driving it about a week i must say im very happy with my setup. Dynoed it at industrial injection on their unloaded dynojet, now i know the numbers are prob off etc i frankly dont care about the numbers i like how it runs and thats all that matters to me, i will try and run it at the track to see if it backs it up or not but i have a graph of 4 runs we couldnt keep it locked in OD on extreme race (not tuned for injectors) so it kept spiking but my 4 runs max power were 550.16, 585.72, 557.84, and 562.08. All these numbers are the MAX power so it read off the peak, if you look at the graph the best one we got to hold before it shifted read 520 with a nice smooth line from 75mph to 95 where it would down shift and spike, all the graphs average before spike right around 500hp obviously this seems off to me too but i use dynos for tuning not bragging rights. If every dyno read the same then it would be a diff story but im happy with it.

Things i noticed with the upgrades, truck idles differently and idles higher until fully stopped, even when just cruising you let off the throttle it goes to about 800-900rpms instead of like 650.

I had tunes from eric before i did these upgrades and tunes from vivian, i emailed vivian after they were done she immediately called the next day and told me what she wanted in an email for my updated tunes, not even 24hours later i had ALL the tunes (5 or 6) i had updated for my new upgrades, cant say enough about that service!
Attempted to do the same with innovative, was told to call and before X date as they would be going out of town, called and didnt get anyone, no big deal truck was down for a week while i redid gears in my spare time. emailed again with All the info i gave to vivian as well as a copy of the tunes previously sent to me, was told by jamie to call, no answer. tried again next day and got ted on the phone only to find out that i need to pay to get new tunes as they arent updated they are "revised" tunes and basically need to be rewritten. Not really a big deal to me as i also own my own small business and know that if everything was done for free you cant stay in business, just wasnt expecting it as they were the same tunes just different mods, not complaining by any means just posting it up so that people know when theyre setting a budget for new mods that this needs to be accounted for as well.

Tunes i have ran are my old xstreet and xrace both run VERY hot with the new setup, max boost in gears 1-4 28psi and in OD 32psi, can peg 1600degree gauge effortlessly

ran my tow tune from vivian updated and on WOT run could hit 1400 degrees with boost psi at 28 or so

any questions ask on up

Nice man! Those must have been some monster shift spikes! I'd say you're averages (w/o the spikes) of around 500 is right where that setup should be.

Those are the sticks I'd like. I'm at a toos up also of either 175/75's or 190/75's to go with my pmax. Got everything else just need injectors. Are the 175's still smokey even after the updated tunes? I know 190's will be smokier but I can keep my foot out of it to keep it at a minumim. I'm also worried about egts with 190's as I know they can peg 1600. 1400 sounds way better with the 175's.

i havent had a chance to tow with this setup yet and wont for a while but if you plan on towing at all i wouldnt do 190s, being fully unloaded and being able to hit 1400 on a pull with 175s i may end up having to tow on stock to keep egts in check, i will try to get a couple vids for you guys of some runs with different tunes showing smoke etc so you can see/ be the judge

Im surprised Vivian didnt charge to get the tunes, she said I would need to pay the fee! Im not against it at all. I run a small family landscape business myself so I dont see anything as being free ever! I had to repay Eric for revised files and it was well worth it. they're not just updates, they're rewrites thats for sure. I had to do the same thing with my tsd tunes from chris but he didnt charge me. My truck shifted way to early and shifted funky when i did my injectors with stock fuel tuning.

Yeh I got no problem throwing it on stock and towing. I had planned it anyway if I do injectors to save the trans. Most I'd pull would be 10k and thats estimating really high. I'll be watching for vids

when did you get your tunes with vivian? i got mine back when her and dj were still together and they offered unlimited tuning for a set price and thats what i had payed for

Nice review!

Im gonna roll the dice on 190/75s. Hoping a Pmax / batmowheel, ported manifold and a Upgraded IC will keep things in check heat wise. Live tuning as well...

I ran my 190/75% injectors with my stock turbo for over a year and towed only twice with it(roughly 5-6K lbs) and never had an issue with high egts with eric's tow tune.

A regulated return isn't gonna 100% fix the low pressure at WOT issue....you need a bigger fuel pump or a pusher pump piggy backed with the stocker.

Industrial Injection always spikes the dyno readings....idk why they do that because it's never a true or close HP/tq reading. I think your truck is probably around the 475-480 range.
