1983 dodge d50 turbo diesel

I have a 1983 Dodge D50 manual 5 speed 2 wheel drive truck with a 4d55 Turbo diesel in it. The engine is in terrific condition. Mechanically it has been very well taken care of. There is some rust on the body though. It gets 30+MPG and it honestly is really fun to drive! The only problem I can think of is the alternator voltage regulator is fixing to go out. The amps fluctuate quite a bit. That's it. Its an old idi so there is a bit of white smoke and rough idle on start up but it all clears up in less than a minute. Its a great engine for a transplant into a ford ranger/broncoII or Mazda b2600. It just bolts right in. Or just keep it in the truck. Whatever.

$2,500 and you can take this little gem home and stick the motor and trans in something else!! It would make a really cool dune buggy!!! Lol!

Can these things be modded to make decent power? Might be kinda cool in an suzuki samurai, or a cj5...or a golf cart

I wish my gf would let me get this. I'm not allowed another diesel for a while because of the money I "waste" on mine. Pretty cool truck tho glws.
