Well I posted a month or so ago about a job that Matt Kubik with CUTTING EDGE DIESEL was going to do on my 05 f250. There were a lot of you that chimed in so I wanted to let you all know how it turned out. Below is a list of mods I had done.
Industrial Injection 190 injectors
ARP studs and OEM head gaskets
Garrett Powermax turbo
Air dog II
sinister EGR delete Kit, Oil cooler and intake gaskets
STC HPOP Fitting update kit
Fuel pressure spring
Banjo bolt
Edge Insight CTS with fuel pressure and egt.
The build went pretty good but had a few problems....the air dog II was missing an oring and also apparently had a faulty electrical plug. Then after everything was put together, Matt diagnosed a bad direct drive solenoid in the tranny. These problems drug out the build but fortunately, Matt got it figured out and didn't try to give it to me til it was done right.
So now I have my truck back and am pleased with the results. It's a good strong DD. the thing I think everybody is interested in is, how good is the work of CUTTING EDGE DIESEL. Well throughout the entire build, Matt kept me up to date on the progress. I'm pretty anal about my truck and I know I wore Matt out with questions. He ALWAYS got right back to me and answered my questions honestly. He made sure it was good to go before he gave it back to me.
I highly recommend Matt. He knows his stuff.
I just got it back a couple days ago and am still checking it out. I'm pretty sure this build will take care of me for a long time. If I run into any issues in the future I'll be sure to let you guys know about it but I think Matt has done a quality job that will last for years.

X^2 for Matt being a GREAT guy for sure. I have been blowing up his inbox with questions about various turbo combinations and setups and he ALWAYS not only takes the time to get back but does it very quickly. Great hear that you have a solid running truck man. I am sure it will be solid for you.

Way off topic but what kind of mount did you use for the GoPro?

Yep, it's a gogo. Before the build when the truck was cold and I would take off at light to moderate acceleration, it would miss the 3 to 5 shift....I would let off and it would find a gear. Matt described the similar problem so he swapped with the gogo. When I got it home the first thing I did was take it to stock to record the strategy and then returned it back to Lonny tune. I then went out and got on it and MAN!!! I thought I screwed something up. It shifted horribly!! So I got on a lonely road and at about 1/4 throttle I went up to 45 mph and stopped and repeated this about 8-10 times. It got better each time. Now after driving it around town about 100 miles or so it shifts perfect. It's not harsh but if I'm hammering down on it it shifts firm.
I'm tickled to death with it. Tons of torque, fast and solid. I can't say enough about Cutting Edge Diesel. Matt has emailed me several times to make sure everything is good. I don't drive Junkers so I don't have a lot of experience with repair shops but I've never had service like this from anybody. A lot of places treat you like a stranger once they get paid. Hopefully I won't have to do anything to my truck for a long time but if I do, I'll go to Matt for sure.

Matt is far and few between, he's great to deal with. You made the right decision taking your truck to him.

They are 190 cc 100%. Not sure what that means... Im not real sharp on mechanics but love the power that CUTTING EDGE DIESEL has built for me. I read what you gearheads talk about and try to educate myself. So far its a slow process. Lol I'm running looney tune right now and it real smokey when I get on it. I don't mind it but others might...I pulled out of work and had to get on it cause of traffic, looked in my mirror and the car I pulled in front of moved into the left turn lane to avoid the cloud of black. I haven't talked to Vivian about it and am sure she would do something to help but just read about Eric at innovative having an extreme x tune that works real good for a guy that was having similar issues. So I'll try it and see how it works. Thanks for the comments, sorry so slow gettin back to ya
