Im saving my spot here for now. I never did a build thread on PSN for my shorty build so I guess I will start it here with all the pics. It might take me a day or two to get all the pics linked though.

I want to give a little introduction on this build first. I traded my 08 F250 in on a 2011 5.0 Mustang on July 31 and gave the car to my wife to drive. She has been driving the same F150 since we bought it new in 02 while I was getting a new truck every couple of years. I decided I wanted to go back to school so I could get my degree. While I am in school I wanted a reliable truck to drive around that still had a coolness factor to it. Instead of getting another 4x4 cc I decided to try something different.

I have never undertaken anything like this. I didn't have anything other then basic hand tools and a small air compressor. I dont have a shop or even a large garage. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment with an attached garage.

I never intended to build a show truck. My skills and budget are not that high. There are some things that could have been done better. There are some spots that still need work. I am far from done with this truck even though I drive it around now. I am still working on it weekly and it will continue to improve.

On August 14 (my 10 year anniversary) I bought this truck for $4800 from the original owner with 124006 miles and all the service records.

Found a good deal on a bed 75 miles away. I had no way to haul it so I did the next best thing

I rented an extra garage in the complex to store the bed in for a few months.

I started lowering it first so I could make sure it went straight before I cut it but after it was lowered.
Dream beams going in.

tank back in and painted. Also changed the hardware that came with the spring hanger to grade 8 since the other crap washers and nylon lock nuts broke under the torque load.

sold the old hood so it didnt get painted

Hood and front bumper is on. The hood has to be baked or set out in the sun for a week before it can be painted, so it went on like this because it was my only way to leave it outside.

Got the roll pan from Grant Kustoms on finally. I ordered it in december and just got it put on a few weeks ago. Thanks Unbroken for pointing me to their direction. Also got the tailgate shaved.

No more yellow bed mod. Put in a herculiner. Thats the old farm truck plate. I thought it would be funny to throw it on for a pic.

Awesome job on the truck. Nice to see what someone can do in a single car garage at an apartment with minimal tools. I bet it is really fun to drive around!

It is. It is so much easier to get around in then my last truck was. I wont say it is fast by any means but its fun to drive. It gets a lot of attention for sure.
