Turbo Noise

Got home from a trip pulling the fiver.
Noticed that the truck had a different noise coming out of the driver side fender. It is the same air noise that the exhaust has without the rumble of the engine.
I searched and cant find any broken pipe, bellows, soot, etc. on the firewall or back of the engine.
When you unlplug the VGT to the turbo it goes away, wont come back even driving with it unplugged. When you move the arm back towards the spot that it is at idle with the VGT plugged in the noise comes back. It is almost like the turbo is dumping air at idle. The arm moves freely in both directions.
Truck has a DPF and EGR Delete.
Still runs fine and full boost. Pulled fine all the way home. Other than the sound it runs just like normal.
Is it possible for the VGT to get out of adjustment?
If so how do you clear it?
I have loaded different tunes. Tow on Eric's tow tune and loaded the street tune and same noise.

You could check the u-pipe that connects the two turbos(under the fuel cooler). The bolts the hold it to the valve cover on mine were loose/gone causing a boost leak between the two turbos.

I did from a thread you made on it. They seem to be all there. I will check them to make sure they are tight.

There are rubber gaskets inside the u-pipe as well. Maybe one shat the bed

I cant feel anything around it.
If it was a leak somewhere then why unplugging the VGT makes the noise stop?
I think it has something to do with the vanes.

That is what I am starting to think. I look like a damn tweaker crawling all over and under the truck after driving.
I was actually thinking of shortening up the connecting rod from the VGT's to the motor.

Could it be carbon build up on the vanes of the turbo causing it to make a different noise?

It could be, but the arm moves freely. I am almost starting to think that the motor skipped a tooth and pushed the arm too far back.
The Hot side pipe is not hitting anything that I can tell. It is the vanes though. I went and drove it with the VGT unplugged and nothing.
I will drive it some more this week while I am working and see if it gets worse. If not I might adjust the arm on the VGT motor.

Does it sound rough when its cold, almost like a single? If you can't see the VGT duty cycle then try checking out boost at idle or when accelerating from a stop. If it reads 0 or anything lower then your EBP tube is clogged or your sensor is shot

Well I think you are right. 0 at idle. Used to be higher. Also when I unplug the sensor the sound goes away. Where is a goo place to get the tube and sensor. Might as well replace both.

You can try cleaning out the tube with some brake cleaner and air or you can buy the tube and sensor. I got mine from sunrise ford, part # 8C3Z9J460A
