Looked through all 36 pages in here looking for info on my cruise control not working. Came up with kinda short. A few of the older post suggest the brake pressure switch, clock spring, and one kid said low pressure fuel pick up. Any other suggestions for this? Just bought my wife a 09 6.4 with 89k and a buid daye of 6\2009. It has no cruise control so far.

Don't you have to pull the steering wheel? Puller tool, etc. my buddies went out on his 7.3. And it was the clock spring

Well others have said its a common problem. Hopefully everyones feed back points towards the same thing, or something cheaper/easier. Lol

mine was the brake pressure switch... seems to be more common/likely than clockspring

Thats what im working on tomorrow night after work. Process of elimination. Any suggestions on checking or replacing the pressure switch?

anything on these trucks can be purchased at the dealer...now whether or not they have it in stock is another problem

Yes sir, I asked if it can only get it at the dealer because im certain this dealer wont have it. I was hoping to get it from the parts store if the dealer doesn't.

The brake pressure switch is totally different than the light switch correct? I thought the pressure switch is on the master and the other is on the pedal correct?

On the brake switch cant you just unplug it and try. Wont have brake lights but at least you wont be throwing parts at it. If it is one of the new switches that when the contact is made the lights go off just make a jumper.
