Default Let's see your 11'-15' crew cab dually.

I could of swore we had as thread about this but I looked back 17 pages without seeing it.....So, let's see pics of your duallys. Either members trucks or trucks that sponsor shops have built.

That's dumb, assuming they have a higher weight capacity than the 350 you would think the 450 would have better breaking ability than the 350's.

Hey now, what the hell...Not everyone can be as anal as you about cleanliness.

What are your alls opinions on that truck? It's getting 22.5's and the black wheels has me curious. I like the look, but you can never go wrong with polished.

You know my thoughts on the black wheels. I already told you just to put the 22" American forces on it. You'll be changing to them with in a year anyways.

In all seriousness, I think for you black wheels will be better. Won't look quite so dirty all the time, and you won't have to polish them either. That really is the reason I have black wheels. Even coming from chrome they're just easier and still look good to me.

Polished looks great when they're clean, but not when they're dirty.

I would get the fuel dually rims. I think they are awesome and not everyone has them like the semi wheels.

Very sh!tty pic that was sent to me but here's a sneak peak. It's at the paint shop now getting the grill surround and bumpers done. I'm still waiting on a paintable rear bumper and dmi hitch. Then it goes to line x, detail shop, and then tint. Hell I still haven't even drove the truck. I have a *******, and 5"ouo traction block on the way thanks to Jared. 22.5's are here just waiting on tires. Should turn out pretty good I hope.

Thanks man. My wheels are polished but with winter coming up I may plastic dip the wheels black to keep the fresh polish from looking like hell.

I hate this thread. I'd ditch my truck for a 6.7 dually in a heartbeat.

Red w/ black and machined AFs would be tits! But I don't blame you, I did the same w/ my truck, it had what I wanted and was priced right.

Looks like the big truck and pickup have the same wheels.

What wheel/tire combo are you running?

I would love to find a 450 front axle and swap it in. Is the carrier the same so that I could put my 3.73 gears into the 450 housing?

Speaking of the traction tires on these , how well do they go off road compared to the stockish tires on 17s?

I've got a spare set of OEM head lamps that I just haven't had time to mess with yet. Thinking of just sending them to Plain and Simple and let them work their magic.

No sir, that wasn't me. You can ask Jared, if I would of been that close and not stopped by his shop he would've cried.

I like it. just lost a lot of space width wise vs other flatbeds. but it's one of the better looking beds I've seen!

Eric@HoldersDiesel

I agree. In my completely novice opinion, the bed should be the width of the flares. But I like the style of it. I think it'll look pretty good on your truck.

Actual bed width isn't the issue, it's the lack of useable bed space that a traditional box doesn't have. The bed will have my fuel tank mounted on it and that's it. Having the under body boxes will help keep the bed de-cluttered. And I'll have a work platform to use other than the crappy tailgate with the stupid man step.

The other reason being this bed simply looks better then the 4 box series without the stainless accents, exposed fenders, and steps. I've done a lot of research the last few weeks and was dead set on having a welding shop build me a custom bed but the $10k price tag made me second guess it. I don't keep my trucks to terribly long, and like to change things often and didn't want to be stuck with the bed. Bradford has stepped up there quality, fit/finish in the last year which I wasn't aware of until recently. So hopefully I made the right decision and it works out.

I'm with you. I want a flatbed and to do the same keep boxes to keep tools and stuff out of the bad. I use mine mainly for pulling and hook and unhook a lot and get sick of climbing over the bed rails. And ratchet straps can hold down anything else you need to keep in the bed. Haven't seen many that look good on a shortbed.

It will look good...

If need be and to help with erics issue.... lay down side rails ftw!! Just in case you needed the bed a bit wider.

I love the whole idea of a flat bed on a nice/newer looking truck. And that one is one of the better looking ones for that type of truck. Good choice man, now go wash your trucks.

I have a question. I am looking at buying a 350 dually 4x4. What are the largest tires that will fit without a lift? I have a 5th wheel toy hauler and don't want a lift.
Thanks

I'm sure you could go w/ a 2.5" lift, and still have clearance(2.5" front and a 4" block the rear will be slightly higher than a 350 srw). But I think 35s would fit stock height.

Hmmm. I know that I'm going to put traction bars and air springs on it. I need as much clearance as possible because I have to go down oilfield roads.

Have you considered lifting the toy hauler by flipping the axles so you can lift the truck higher?

good call... this is exactly what i am having done to my fifthwheel so i can get some more clearance since my dually was 3" lower in the rear..

No, I haven't. I don't like that option because the camber on some of these roads is sketchy as is.

Understandable...but in the grand scheme of things is 4"really going to make that big of a difference in stability?

Bone stock you can clear a 35" tire with minor trimming. I'm on stock suspension for now and running a 255/70/22.5 which is roughly 36.7"tall.

When the thing is already 13'6" tall, yes! That would put it over the legal limit without a permit. What kind of trimming are we talking? I found several 285 55 r22.5s. Kinda pricey though.

Thank ya sir. Tap a talk on the phone makes it easier to keep up. Switched from a 7.3 to the 6.7 last summer, so doing lots of reading and playing catch up.

Damn that thing is tall.

You want a 255/70 if your considering running a 10 lug 22.5. Yes the complete setup is pricy but they'll last 100k miles, and by the time you spend $1500 for a good set of tires and only last 25-40k miles they don't seam do expensive.

Yes it is. lol

How tall is the 255/70? The 255/55 was just shy of 35".

Hmmm. If 35s are the biggest that will fit stock, I don't want to go that big.

Yea yea I hear ya. It always sounds good in theory but never works. My bumper showed up Saturday and my wife was less than impressed. She said the same thing about leaving it stock.

Jared and my wife have a love/hate relationship.

With my wifes ride being the outlaw truck things don't impress her to much. She simply sees money going out, and my retirement money disappearing. She doesn't realize I don't plan on retiring.

Here is a picture of my new 450. Does anyone know the biggest tire I could run without lifting?

I thought it said he had a lift as well…maybe I am wrong. I think I should be able to get a 35 under it.

Yea with minor trimming of the inner fender liner I cleared my 22.5 with a 255/70 tire that measures out to a 36.7 i believe. I'm also selling these if you're interested.

Thanks guys.

No real problems fitting the toyo's, driver front cleared no problem, pass front had to pull back the fender liner with a little L bracket but nothing needed trimming. Tires rub on the radius arms but it's just before lock which is pretty common and not a big deal. In the rear I had to cut about an inch out of the bottom of the back of the dually fender and then reattach the liner an inch further back and it just barely clears, but good enough.

Back tires still stick out farther, if the lugs hit em you have bigger problems about 2 seconds behind
