Hey guys, as we all know first hand from the people that run the hydras the mounting options suck, period. Im in the process of designing some mount options for them. Think it'd be something you all are interested in'?

Its comes with double sided tape and you don't have to drill a hole in the dash. What more could you want?

I am also working on a gauge design... Just need a few hours to finish and pour resin...

Joe... How is viewing the number of the tune from there. I was in a truck not long ago and sun glare made it impossible to read the numbers without shadowing it with your hand. It was mounted below the wheel to the left.

Mounted this one for a customer over the hole that was left by his old ts chip.

When I get around to ordering gauges, I'm going to order a 4 gauge pod, get an isspro plug for the bottom one and mount the switch there.

I'm planning on making those that mount to the gauge, and in dash ones

I had to get creative to cover up where my DP round switcher used to be. This is the best I could come up with but man I wish they would make a round switcher for these chips...

What you mean

look at Brads pic. the ribbon cable is hard to route.
I guess a better question is "what connector does the Hydra use?" and then I can look for a wire to replace the ribbon.

mine is currently 'mounted' by the ribbon cable hanging out of the pillar pod, which IMO is an improvement over the velcro they provide

Problem with the round switch like a TS uses. Imagine trying to either count 17 different positions or having some sort of backing plate exact and accurate enough to work for all positions.

Something great would be a longer cable. That alone would open up many more mounting options. Also I wouldn't mind something that mounted on the front of the center console cupholders. I want to mount my insight, the hydra, and my iPad altogether right in that area but wires for the hydra are too short.

I wonder how hard it would be to get a longer cake

I remember a couple guys trying but they never updated with findings. I've mentioned it to both dieselsite and PHP directly about having a longer cable as an option at extra cost but haven't seen anything about it from either company.
