The biggest difference I have seen in mine was ect 210 and eot 240. I was pulling my trailer up monarch mountain and it was even 56* outside.
And this was right after doing the egr delete and new oil
Cooler.
Driving around I will see anywhere from 185-205 ect and 190-225 eot. It just depends on the outside temp and how hard I'm working the truck. Here are a few pics.

So have Picts and vids of cruising around 70mph no trailer or load and hitting those temps and more. I have a vid almost a min long of a steady 40* difference.

Bad sensor, fan clutch not working, I've seen new oil coolers plug up from crud in the cooling system even after it had been flushed. Im sure that David will find what's wrong and get it fixed.

Sorry a little over 2 mins long

I agree David will. Just replaced EOT sensor a week or so ago to eliminate as issue and fan clutch is about a year old as well.

Guess talkin about my truck...lol

Ya, took it to Hempstead last night cruising 70-80 mph, after driving around stop and go traffic for 45 minutes or so and ECT averaged 190 with a low of 187 and a high of 192, EOT got up to 208 and settled there once on the freeway.
Getting on it hard I could get ECT to 207 and EOT to 216.

Monarch Pass in CO? If so, that one is a b itch. my eot was going up quick, ect wasn't bad....but I did have my eyes glued to the gauge

On average going 70, I see ect @ 198 and eot @ from 205 to 215 (this is east coast @ sea level). Doe's not go above 215 unless i'm doing something taxing

I was going to ask the same question. Mine is running around eot 198 and fwt 190 on the highway. Have 130k on what I believe to be the original oil cooler. I have never seen more than 8 degrees difference between the two. I just got a scanguage a few weeks ago though. I am guessing I am ok as far as my oil cooler goes?

Sounds normal to me. When I originally got my truck back city was about a 9* diff and hwy was a 12-14* diff

You know if we didn't have these stupid digital numbers to look at we would be none the wiser. Even when the numbers are out of wack the gauges are normal. Just saying.

I agree! Cause I watched the numbers when they were about 30* difference but the analog gauges never moves past normal. On the other hand I was told they wouldn't show something is wrong till it's way too late.

Well I compared the Edge to my Snap On Solus Pro and found an ECT difference of 3 degrees and a 7 degree difference on the EOT, now add the 1 degree difference between the sensors and you could conceivably have a 8 degree swing from actual temps.
Now which one is correct??? Going to try and borrow a Ford IDS to compare to now.

Any updates here?

Instead of starting a new thread, thought I'd ask here.

Just finished new oil cooler swap on my '05 a few weeks back and now have the Aeroforce scangauge monitoring ECT and EOT.
Yesterday, was about 25° here and regular driving, not even up to 55 mph, EOT got to 188 and EOT reached 221 and stayed there.
I have about 400 miles on the new oil cooler.

What are the best odds of what is wrong? Bad sensor? Bad fan clutch? Plugged cooler? I'm not sure what EOT was before the new cooler as I appearantly had the scan gauge set to read the wrong oil temp.

Thanks.
