I'm wanting to go to a two price driveshaft. I'm passing the critical speed on the one piece and don't want it blowing up. I've already developed a vibration at high speed and now have it at certain speeds.

I know from 2011+ some CCSB came with two piece driveshafts. Anyone have the part number and would I have the bolt holes already for the carrier bearing?

Jomax,

if you plan on bumping the power on the truck at some point, and you're going to already be spending the money on a two-piece, take the time and go with F450 driveshaft.

the F450 driveshaft comes with bigger u-joints and a larger slip joint. I've never gotten around to this, but a lot of other members here have. I know Jared has for sure.

Good Luck.

A two piece would have a higher critical speed. I'm way over the safe zone on the factory single piece (as are most guys here if you run it over 95mph)

I called driveshaftspecialists in TX yesterday and they can build me a 5in aluminum one piece that will be safe up to 160mph in my truck. I'll be going with that. It'll also have bigger U joints then factory.

That might be bolt in for a long bed. But mine is a short bed. I'll look into it though!

U joints are increased as well. I'll send you the link when I get home.

I would never buy another truck again without checking max critical speed on a driveshaft. It's crazy how many people out there are taking a risk. (Unless everyone stays under 100mph).....

Here it is. Talk to Jeff over there. Tell him you want the same driveshaft as David with the 2015 F-250. That guy knows his stuff..

So I installed it and man, all the vibrations are gone at big speed!!! Sucker is beafy! I highly recommend guys that mod their trucks to upgrade their driveshaft...

I did install it. Leaking has stopped but my water pump is bad. I think the impeller is spinning in place, temps are still high. Will get the pump changed out here shortly. But at thing point, it'll be fixed then traded in.
