How many miles on the setup?

The HPOPs are the only thing not replaced when I put the engine in it has about 150 miles ago this truck has been almost all track use(drove to track a few times). Put it in the end of the season before last so roughly a season and a half of racing on it.

Who built the motor?

Any idea what you would want for the long block?

Carson StaufFer Built the motor.
I Was running a 476/96 and it loved that turbo only problem was the smoke of the 450's lol

I'm thinking around $9500 for the long block if I split it up

Are partial filled blocks okay to DD? I though partially filled blocks are for big ponies? Like for sled pulling/track only kinda deal?

That's the purpose of a partial fill, so you still have some cooling.
I can't give you names, but there were people dd'ing them.

I've never had a cooling issue with this truck. You can 3/4 fill a 7.3 (if done correctly) you won't have any cooling issue as the heat build up in these engines happens prodominantly in the top 2" of the cylinder.
The passages have to be predetermined so coolant can still reach the oil cooler and such.
I know of plenty of people who were able to DD a 3/4 filled block with no issues.
Now if you get into towing a large gross for an extended period i can't speak on that.

So much power did the motor make to warrant a partial fill? Not poking fun but just curious!
