Default 80 Style Synthwave

This is kind of left field, but is anyone on here into 80's style synthwave? I kind of dig it when I'm driving. One band stands out though. Gunship. They just released their new album Dark All Day and upon first impression it is on point if you like that kind of thing. Figured I would drop this off here and see if anyone cared. Lol!

Lol! You have to know by now I'm all over the place. Plus, you know I like movies from the 80's. If you watch the video "When You Grow Up, Your Heart Dies", you will understand if you are familiar with a lot of movies from that time period.

I know there are closet 80's lovers that still frequent this site. They are just too scared to come out and say it. This site needs some life breathed in it and I am trying to do just that. Lol!

It's 80's inspired music, that sounds better than 80's music. Lol! Their videos are interesting. Check out "Fly For Your Life". It's epic.

Sorry, but I think there are a lot of guys on here that didn’t even live the ‘80s.

As do I. I have good memories riding in my Dad’s truck listening to ‘70s (I think) and ‘80s country music. Oak Ridge Boys, Dolly and whoever sang “Big John”. I sure miss my Dad and the simpler times.

That was Big Bad John

Jimmy Dean released it in 1961.

Yep. That one. I figured it was older. I lived the ‘80s but not the ‘60s.

Been listening to gunship for a few years myself now, I don't mind them. Imo I'm more of a metal guy but the synthwave style is a nice change of pace.

Good deal. A number of the members also play in a metal or alternative rock band. This side project of theirs is so cool especially considering how well done it is. I think their stuff makes awesome driving music.
