2016 and the CTS2 Insight

You can monitor things with it. Select import and other I believe. Can't remember right now, it imports oil temp etc and you can run them. I have been waiting for an update for this thing too.

Bringing this back up. I spoke with Edge last night. They are now telling me they have finished update to make my 2016 work. I will run the updater tonight and try it out. I will keep everyone posted on this cause if it works, all you should have to due is update it to the latest software and it will work.

I ran the updater last night. After it went through the whole process I got an error message telling me to contact tech support. And obviously, they were closed. I will be calling them this morning to figure out whats going on. Trying to get this CTS2 to work on a 16 has been an interesting process with these guys to say the least.

So I they did send me a new file to download last night. I am at least now able to communicate with it. All the options of the CTS2 are not available yet and I can only view about 10-15 PIDs. But hey its better than nothing I guess! Im not sure that you can get the updated file by just running the updater to get it work with your 2016. You have to start a ticket with tech support. They have their engineering specifically look at your individual truck/CTS2 and get it so it can at least communicate with some basic parameters for the time being. They said itll probably be by April when full compatibility is available for the 2016s. Also, you can still monitor some PIDs, but boost, trans temp, or rail pressure are not on the list. Those were some of the more notable ones that I wanted on the screen that wasnt there.

It wont come up. You have to start a ticket with Edge. They will specifically get it to work with your truck and then they will ask you to run the update with your specific Edge unit, which will draw in the file special made file. Its not an update. They dont officially support the 2016 yet.

On another note, with my limited gauge selections and the fact that sometimes the gauges that are selected dont work tells me they have a long ways to go until they release it. But it gets the job done for now.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I had already purchased it from No Limit, but wasnt aware that the CTS2 wasnt supported on the '16s and they didnt know it at the time either. So Ive tried to get it to work with Edge so that I didnt have a $400 monitor collecting dust. Let me know if you ever see an official update released. Hopefully its sooner rather than later.

I installed the file they sent me tonight and it does work but limited on pid's. At least I can monitor some vitals but hope like everyone else they come up with an update for full function soon

Coolant temp, oil temp, battery voltage, are the main ones I have right now. There's others but can't remember right now. I do know that the egt is not available nor map. Possibly I need to install sensors for those to work. I hope not. I had a cts on my 6.4 and didn't need to add any additional sensors and it showed all. Kinda disappointed as I read the thread and emailed edge before purchasing and they told me there was an way to make it work. I hope it's not this limited for long as I intend to ****** mine soon and definitely want to watch the egt's and others. That's why I got it in the first place
