IDM fuse under the hood.

As long as the WTS light is coming on, you should have power to the IDM

Check for oil in the HPO Rez
There was low oil in the HPOP, but once again, filling it made no difference

Where are you located at? There may be a member close enough to you that could help with some sort of a scanner.

Don't need to wait until Monday.....go get a 5k psi mechanical hydraulic gauge and plumb it into one of the HPO ports on the head.

These motors need fuel and HPO (mininum 500 psi) to start. You already figured out that you have fuel pressure (well I think). Now find out if you have HPO.

Check the pigtail on the IPR valve for cracked insulation.

I really appreciate the detailed response. Any thoughts on where I can grab one of those gauges?

Any hydraulic shop. You'll need a length of hose with the fitting for the gauge on one end and I believe a 1/4" JIC fitting on the other.

Well therein lies the other problem. All our hydraulic shops are open mon-fri so I'm out of luck. I'll look at my office tomorrow for one. I do construction, but always have materials laying around. Just pulled the valve cover to see if I could feel injectors clicking while starting. There's a quarter in the UVCH so I guess someone has in fact been in here before me. Interesting.

Not trying to be a wiseazz and prove you wrong or anything, just trying to help. Says they're open till noon tomorrow. http://www.cenhyd.com
I appreciate that. That must be something new. Last year our tractor hydraulics took a crap and we couldn't get new hoses until Monday. Thanks for checking on that. I'll see what I can do

I got a HPO gauge and hose if you want me to ship it to you.
I think by the time it could get here I'll have something figured out, I appreciate it though! One more question. This may sound stupid, but where does fuel actually enter the injector for the injection process?

There is a fuel rail for all 4 on a head. There is access in the front and back with a 1/8" pipe threaded fittings.

It enters through the 4 holes between the pink and orange o-rings.

Hpo enters through the hole near the black o-ring.

Thanks for the clarification. That's what I figured, but definitely a totally different injection process from a gasser. Will check with central hydraulics tomorrow for a gauge and fittings. Even if it does tell me I have oil pressure issues, it won't do anything to fix it, so I probably won't break my neck trying to get something together if they don't have all the parts etc. My OBD2 Vgate elm327 scanner should be here Sunday so I can run a buzz test and go from there. Ever hear of anyone rebuilding their own IDM?

Why do you keep jumping back to an IDM or injector solenoid issue?

I'm going to jump back to your original post for a second. You said it was a gallon low on oil because it leaks. I get that and mine does too so I'm by no means judging. Then you mention that the hpo reservoir was not filled to the top. Now if you hold the key for 5-10 seconds, will the oil gauge on the dash come up to a normal spot, or does it just bounce around, or does it not move at all? It should jump up after just a couple seconds so counting to 5 or 10 while holding the key will answer the question.

Please don't take it as me being disrespectful or unappreciative. I'd still be stuck in the middle of the road if it wasn't for yall on this forum. I just feel like we've narrowed it down enough to know that it's not the CPS, IPR, or IPC. I suppose the CPS could still be bad, but the dealer parts depot is definitely closed until Monday so I can't get a new one until then.

I don't think you're being disrespectful or unappreciative at all. Nothing you've done has made me think those things. I'm not saying it's any of those sensors but you keep jumping back to electrical parts that rarely go wrong, at least not all at once. Idm usually only goes when it gets full of water. Reread my previous post as I edited it.

I'll go check right now. Just cleaned up the shop. You're saying attempt to start the engine for 5-10 seconds straight and monitor the gauge?
