Have you checked actual fuel pressure ? Sounds like it could be fuel starvation.
My brother and I were just discussing this last night. Going to put my mechanical Guage on the regulated return test port and see what happens. Thx for suggesting it. Wondering if my AirDog draw straw is too tight to bottom of the tank. Will report back on findings. Might not get to it till Friday with my schedule this week.

Well I finally got some time to put the mechanical Guage on the rr and it sat right at what I set it to anywhere from 65-70 it set and held even when motor was doing its rough idle nonsense. Any ideas?

Going back and looking at your attachment, your VPower is low. it shouldn't be lower than 11.75V IMO.

Also, your IPR % is a "little" high. You may have a leak in the oil rail somewhere.

That's about all I can come up with.

Yeah batteries were getting drained with so many starts and no drive time to recharge.
I'm going to move injectors around and see what happens. Only thing I can come back to at this point.

Air pressure test with the passenger side valve cover off might reveal a small HPO leak.

Is it possible that you are getting air in the fuel. Diesels act pretty strange when they get air in the fuel. You could still have the right fuel pressure but have air infiltration.

I have a AirDog 150 feeding the stock HFCM to stock fuel bowl with a regulated return from the back of the heads. Don't think there would be air in the system with current set-up but I've been wrong before too....

Just did stand pipe and HPO Rail nipple O-rings as I suspected HPO leak when we changed injectors, but don't feel there's a large enough differential between desired and actual to go crazy. Going to pull injectors Friday and see what we find, have a feeling cylinder 5 will have no carbon on the nozzle. I did Warren's total upgrade (new solenoids and spool valves) and am half wondering if they have issues as seen reports of some while doing research on my issues.

can you monitor mass fuel desired, inj PW, boost, engine rpm and ICP? (full load, driving WFO)

stock tune (ie, no tuner on ECM) still acts the same?

seems to me that the tune simply isn't requesting any fuel (and/or the injs aren't capable/or are damaged in some way)

I will check those out Friday and get back to u. I have heard that these injectors won't idle correctly without proper tuning so I even got tunes from WDI and that didn't help either.

I was hoping for an actual 'datalog' of those parameters, not so much a screen shot...but

injector PW looks quite short for a 'race tune', even though there is (apparently) plenty of ICP (@3300psi based on 4.4v)

It is a tow file that's loaded so would the pw be normal?

Also my brother got the injectors pulled yesterday and on the passenger side, cylinder 5 looks like it wasn't working correctly (far less carbon than others) also 1 and 3 blew the copper ring and have combustion carbon up to the bottom fuel o-ring. Cylinder 7 looks like it was starting to go. Is it possible that the cups are damaged? What's recommended torque spec? Have heard anywhere from 26-30 ft-lbs. Another thing to note is number 5 "spat" oil from the two ports in the top on either side of where the HPOR nipple plugs in.

Don't know if this helps with any ideas as to what is wrong. Appreciate everyone's input and patience with my long response time.

there's your issue...sounds like someone needs to install the injectors correctly.

https://16x1p531pcnxjpi9p2ewt95n-wp...iles/6L_Injector_Removal_and_Installation.pdf

"The single biggest mistake while installing injectors is not
having the injector fully seated, and failing to fully tighten
the hold
-
down bolts.
IF the crush washer is NOT fully “crushed”
then you will be
re
-
doing this entire process in a few w
eeks time.
You cannot damage the injector by
over
-
tightening
the
bolts, but
you can seriously damage both the injector and the
engine if
the
injector is not
securely bolted down
because raw fuel will leak
into the cylinder."

Your battery voltage seems pretty low to me.
Yeah batteries weren't happy with so many starts and short run cycles. They've been put on the charger while injectors are out.
