Well Papa Dillehay comes through again.

He was willing to throw a set of custom spec'd King 2.5" Resi Shocks on his trailer that's headed out to UCC for their booth and let me grab them while I'm at UCC as well.

These will go on once I'm back from UCC.

Picked up the shocks at UCC from No Limit, Thanks again Mike D!

These things are hella nice, 2.5" shocks are no joke. Smart water bottle for size reference

Also...

Who says lowered trucks cant tow? Took this 36 foot gooseneck out to Indy.

And Yes, I know. A lot of tongue weight. We didn't have time to swap the truck and the Gator with each other to take some tongue weight off.

Really is incredible how well a stock 2017 tows. I couldn't believe how well it was pulling grades at 70-75.

Trucks an animal, can't wait to have one in 10 years lol.

Got the Kings on Saturday Night late as sh*t. Hats off to Rick Fox at Firepunk for letting me use a shop lift and offering me a helping hand for the rear shocks, compressing them and getting them in to the bottom mount helps a lot if you have two people with these huge body shocks.

The stock front wheels/tires rub on the orange anodized clamp on the shocks. Not a lot but a little and it's enough to bother me. So now I either have to buy offset wheels and new tires or run wheels spacers which I really don't wanna do.

I will say just normal driving around city streets or backroads, I notice an improvement but nothing drastic yet, I know the shocks are brand new and need a little bit of break in time. However, on the drive to work today, hitting the highway at 75-80, there is a MASSIVE improvement. Don't feel normal bumps hardly at all, the truck just feels smoother going down the road, concrete joints I hardly notice now and turns feel more controlled.

The faster you go it's like the truck hugs the road better. It's interesting.

In all seriousness there's no high quality 1" spacer out there that is proven?

I agree no way I'm putting some cheap China junk on and risking my life, but it's not like one can't be made that can do the job.

1.5" or 2" Spacers yeah, I only need like a 1/4" more room though.

Big spacers like that on a new 8300 lb truck just bothers me.
