Lol. I would love to see someone get 16-17 actual hand calculated around town. True mileage not thrown off by the size of your tires and poor tuner tire size recalibration.

12-14 around town is pretty good in my opinion.

Hand calculated (70/30 highway/regular roads), in the summer = 19.5 to 19.8 empty, manual 3.55 gears reg cab long box 4x4. Now, in the winter 17.
stock height/tires. 40hp Spartan tune.

My numbers are hand figured with out correcting for my 37s

Best was 17 hwy and 13.5 city with the extreme canned tune on my SCT, DPF MIA, nearly bald 37s

Lately on winter blend with new 37s and the performance tune in I get 10.5 highway and 8 city but I wonder how much I burn letting the truck idle to warm up 2x a day for 30+ minutes?

I JUST WANT KNOW HOW YOU GET SOME OF THESE #"S? getting 13ish 50/50 mix w/ the RCD 585... Thats being easy on it!! Numbers are a lil off on calibration but its not gonna be a 3-4mpg difference. I'm running the factory air box w/ the lid removed & a K&N, could this be a part of the problem? Also let her idle about 10 mins every night when i leave work.

Obviously the manuals are gonna get better MPG i understand that!

What size tires are you running^^??

An intake might make a little difference, but not 3-4mpg. I think it has a lot to do with idle time/fuel quality/temperature where you live/ the little things like that.

Most of these guys are hand calculating, so its not like they are lying about it

35's & 3.73's

I'm pretty new to all of this, still dont really understand all of these trans tunes people talk about. I have the RCD 585 loaded but i havent done anything other than just that, should I have loaded a different trans tune or what? I have noticed the truck will lock into 5th @ around 50-55 if i'm just steadily driving & kinda lugs it down a lil bit.

idling for ten minutes everyday is going to use a fair amount of fuel and pull down your averages.

no traffic on the highway ill get about 17 if im lucky driving 70mph or so. in the city i get 13-14. this is with 37s and 3.73s

towing (depending on load) ive seen the best of 10.2 on average towing almost 16k at 70mph.

idling long periods of time bring down my average mileage per tank.
winter fuel messes everything up

14 to 14.5 mostly unless I am on the interstate. I am running the 210 tow/performance and on the interstate I get about 17 or 18 crusing at 75mph. I also let the truck warm up in the mornings for around ten or fifteen min too.
