Is there any way diesel fuel could get into the cooling system? 2002 with 295,214 miles.

Is the injector cup replaceable or is it part of the injector? These are the original stock injectors.

Yes, cups are replaceable. Rosewood diesel has a great tool for doing this, the tool, cups, and new injector o rings is about $500 iirc. Its not a bad job at all with the right tool.

Stock injectors?

If so, it might would be smarter to go ahead with a new set of injectors while you're already in there.

I really didnt think it would be. Could the same place not tell you if it was oil?

I think its oil, which is a bad oil cooler. Easy fix with a new gasket kit.

Still like to see that picture though.

Now it looks like oil. Are there instructions on here on how to change the gaskets on the oil cooler? image.jpg it didn't look like this before. I've flushed all the coolant out twice it is just water now.

Could this be anything else other than the oil cooler. Not getting any coolant in the oil. Would it be better to buy the cooler, gaskets, and o-rings or just the gaskets and o-rings? Can get the cooler and all gaskets and o-rings from Ford for $300.

Two bolts up front on the flange, three in the back by the oil filter. Drain the coolant, drop the oil filter then unbolt everything. Remove the oil cooler, pop the end caps off, clean everything up good, inspect the cooler tube to see if it is rotted. If not then replace the o-rings, clean the mating surfaces of the flanges and mounting surfaces on engine. Be sure to use assembly lube on the o-rings so you don't damage them. Use a ratchet strap to "pull" the ends down firmly on the tube. Re-install it into the truck with new gaskets.
