I like older 3406b or 3406e Cats, or a 6nz. I enjoy Kenworth T800's.

I'd get a mid to late 90s gloss black Kenworth T800 high hood, small sleeper, wet kit, 3406 & a 13sp. Maybe a longer wheel base to fit a lift axle. I donno why but I have a love for a high hood T800, they are built to work hard but can still look sharp.

I really like the doomsday trucks in movies. I would like to build one one day. I think people would really like it at a car show.

I should of kept my twin stick R model for building one but my ears could not take it anymore from the wife. Don't know why she hated that truck so much.

Been slow at work lately. Not much to haul around in the winter time for me. Thinking if money were no object, what truck would everyone buy/use?

Id have a T800 wide hood with a C15 and an 18 speed. Or an old Mack Superliner with a V8 Mack. Or a W900 flat top with an N14 red top and a 13 speed

I can't get into a t800, or t600 either for that matter, none of the sloped hood, set back axle rides do anything for me. As much as I can appreciate a clean, well done 379, I am a huge w900L fan. I think when done right, they are super hard to beat looks wise, They don't need to be stretched out, slammed, with everything colormatched, like 90% of the Pete's running around these days. If I were to buy another truck, it'd be a 280" wheelbase w900l glider, 84" studio sleeper, drop in a pre-emission 565 isx cummins, pdi 725 tune, turbo, 18 speed, 3.36 full locking rears, 7" miter cuts with pickett elbows, throw another set of toolboxes between the fuel tanks, and extra long Hoguebilt 1/4 fenders, low pro 24.5 rubber, small bolt less drop visor, boltless box end 21" bumper. I really like that champagne-reddish color paccar has, so I would prefer that, 5 bulet lights on the cab, 5 on the sleeper roof, millenium style led chicken lights, and be done. Clean, tasteful, and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. I really miss my ole w9 I had, best class 8 I have had.

I've heard the guys hauling super B fuel tankers to the gas stations around here make really good money.

The Michigan road trains have always intrusted me. It's amazing how it varies from state to state on allowed weights with x amount of axles.

That's what I hope to do in a couple years

It pays decent, long hours, and you will work weekends and Holidays. This company doesn't pay OT, but getting hazmat experience can open up some lucrative opportunities in the future, so think I'm going to go for it. I'll work nights, 5 days a week, 12 hr shifts.

I always love explaining to people in other states that we can legally run up to 154k on an 8 axle trailer without permits. You have to watch your route with bridges light duty roads but we can run over any of the major highways without an issue. Perfect example is our "Flowboy" trailers, live bottom asphalt haulers. We use them on big road or highway projects.

This is a Michigan "Short Double" tri or quad axle dump truck that pulls a "A train" style pup trailer. Our's are setup with a quad axle trailer (3 live 1 air lift) & a 2 axle dolly. YOu can lock the dolly so it pivots off the main pintle hitch instead of a pintle & fifth wheel hitch for backing up in a straight line. You can't do that when you back up on sharp turns around a corner though. You have to get good at "free wheeling" them with 2 pivot points. We can gross 148k with the setup you see here.
