So I got the 60hp tune from dp and it runs a little smoother in upper rpms, idles worse than the 120hp file and smoke is about the same. I also got a ts chip, not exactly sure whos tunes are on it, came from ATS. It idles great, stock and next level up start missing at about 1500rpm the other 2 bigger tunes i never tried driving in but smoked like crazy under no load. Took half the day off work today so I could talk to DP and whoever I talked to seemed to think the tune was not setup for my injectors and they had to talk to Jody but never got a call back or a reply to my email from Saturday although it was around 3pm cali time and if I remember correctly they are a few time zones over.

One of my biggest questions is about the smoke, is it just the way the tunes are setup or am I missing something else, it doesn't smoke at all under partial throttle or in the lower rpms but will black out the road at anything over 20psi boost and at the same time I get a MIL but it turns off when I back out and there is nothing in the codes that wasn't there to start with. I'm starting to get nervous that I chose the wrong size injector.

Hopefully I can get this figured out. Anxious to drive it around again, its been too long. I just cant afford to take anymore time off work because of it and its hard when I work 6am-6pm. Already taken 30hrs off trying to deal with getting it running again over the last couple days

The 60E tune should not be smokey at all, and according to your datalog, you never made over 14lbs. of boost. Also, your P0238 indicates a problem with your MAP sensor or the connection to it. Have you tried replacing it with a new, or known good one?

Thanks for the reply. I actually did pick up a new exhaust back pressure sensor last night but its not in yet. The boost in the log was also one of my questions which it sounds like you just answered. Whats the stock sensor supposed to read to? Ive seen high 40s on my gauge but I have never seen it that high on AE

Here is voltage reference for the MAP sensor.

I got a new EPS and MAP. My truck does not have an EBP. Wiring is there with a factory looking cap on it and no tube coming from the exhaust manifold. Replace the MAP and it still tops out reading at 14psi even though the truck is in the 40s

Does it have a boost fooler maybe?

Thats not necessarily a bad thing. With a boost valve (fooler)
I see 10 lbs off the map, 30 on the gauge.

So what's causing your low map reading.
Pigtail boost fooler ? Like DFuser ?
Valve type fooler?
Blow off type fooler?

I will check that but my gauge is t into the same line. Both say the same thing untill map stops climbing

Both the old and new MAP sensors stop at 14psi? Trace the MAP sensor connector and wiring and see if you find anything inline. Have you owned the truck since new?

what would happen if I took the chip out?

The chip will not make a difference with the MAP readings.

I am second owner but it was a work truck for Georgia Pacific lumber before I got it. It was bone stock when I got it

What is your map sensor reading at idle?

Oh and I'm with dave about icp being way high and pw being too low. Something funky is going on either in your fueling maps or your truck has an issue causing it to raise icp

So the more I mess with it the weirder things get. I unplug ipc and idle stays the same. Didnt scan it at that time to see what the computer said. But its also had random other electrical codes. Where are all the grounds on the engine? Im always getting a p0238 whenever I go over 14psi. But ive also had the low pressure code as well 0237 I think it is. I had one for throttle position this morning.

So what should it do if I was to take the chip out? How do I know if the chip is even communicating with the computer?

you no theres communication as you have single shots that run off the chip, pull the chip... not recomended... might even start ive read....BUT may not run very well......

Wrong. No issues other than idle. After about 1700-1900 rpm there isn't a split shot commanded
