Cool....? I was like put 64's on sale...your like garrett doesnt make them....:confused:....Like it has to be a garrett?

All POWERMAX turbos are the same, however I think they are useless unless you have injectors. The one on my 04 didn't spool that good at all. If you are just wanted to get it to whistle, put an 03 turbo on it.

I actually have it pretty good now but still a little laggy on the takeoff even with 35's. Tightened all the loose intercooler clamps(the one off the turbo was stripped out), put the clip on that was missing on cylinder #1 injector so that it actually makes a connection to the injector. Found the clip in the valley when doing the oil cooler. Also the egr throttle body was stripped out and the banks intake elbow was leaking pretty bad a lot of air(Left a nice oil residue all over the shroud and piping elbow ect). put a 05 elbow on and ditched the banks-egr throttle body combo. Works a lot better now at getting the air to the motor :rockon:

Yeah, but like i said...why would you want a 64mm non VGT? You were the one that said you let go of the idea of running a non VGT. Remember saying this "If your looking for streetable power go with the vgt powermax. Your just gonna get better spool/less smoke with it. From hanging out around here, I've pretty much let the idea of a non vgt single go. Unless your into the cummings blow smoke thing"? So why did you change your mind so soon all of a sudden?

You had not posted your video to show me that it could be DD easily with no coal. EVERYTHING I had seen until these few videos have been horrible.

The powermax needs specific tuning to address the lag.
