You can fit 16s but they are going to stick out. 16x14 with 2" back spacing

Sticking out won't be an issue lol. And a Manuel transfer case won't be a bad idea.. I'll definitely start looking into a 4wd conversion and if not then maybe copy that 7.3 and do slicks in the back... Anyone know where to find a 8 bolt pattern wheel that will fit and I won't mind sticking out..

I weighted in at 8000 full weight and it's an extended cab. Was a scary ride but I'm just glad I didn't lose my truck.. I'm thinking of trying to find a soild axle front end and maybe just do a 4wd conversion.. But is it just simply plug and play? I know you need a transfer case and a front axle but what else? Stabilizing arm? Am I going to need a new PCM to say its 4wd?

Wow, my extended cab 4x4 with a long bed weighs less. Are you like a 600 pound; back tit swinging, shrek kind of man or what?

honestly, I think you're going to spend more getting it to hook as a 2wd than you are converting it to 4wd, and it's not going to be as streetable... driving around on slicks wears them out awful quick

you could run a set of DOT approved drag slicks that way you can swap the tires at home and drive on them to the strip.

but guys, doesn't the output shaft of the trans have to be changed to accept the transfer case or is that just the 4R100?

I learned in my short bed the front is just as important as the rear. I put some adjustable 90/10 shocks on the front with limiting straps. This gained me 6 inchs more up travel on the front end and the shock helps throw the front end up and keep it up for good weight transfer to the rear.

When it comes to those bars they really are the best .Cal tracs will load it and maybe help it hook.. but the 2 fastest 6.4s are running OUO's, so I really wouldnt worry about it

2wd and 4wd are two different animals buddy, you need every bit of bite you can get

8000 lbs on a 2wd doesnt even seam remotely right...
