I bought my 2000 used and it does not have the lock on the injector harness where it plugs into the valve cover anymore. The connecter sometimes vibrates loose and kills the truck at the worst possible time. Does anyone know a part number for it? My local dealer isn't interested in helping me...

You will need an intake or your air restriction gauge will always be sucked in. Go with AFE or S&B the more sealed ones are quieter though more expensive. The more open design you hear a lot of air sucking noise and turbo wuffing. I like my 5" exhaust too.

Yes, it dies as soon as you let completely off of the accelerator pedal. I was wondering about the throttle position sensor myself. Is there a way to test it without just replacing it?

At the higher hp levels like 250 or 300 I think it is somewhat due to touchy throttle. I deal with touchy throttle all the time on my 2000. I have only towed an empty sled trailer once a short distance on 300 and I think the "jerk" was different. I tow on 215hp sometimes if I am pulling less...

Do you know if your transmission control module is programmed to shift firmer at 210 than it does at stock? My jerk occurs at the 215 hp level and even clear down to 80 hp though it might be a little less severe. I am wondering if the torque converter locking sends a jolt through the drivetrain...

Thanks for your input. I went ahead and ordered the 38R mostly because of your advice about it dropping EGTs. I pulled the tranny, clutch and flywheel and found out it already had a single mass Valeo in it. Need to find at least the clutch disc for it, maybe do a pressure plate and bearings...
