    Anyone know this truck

It definitely has bigger injectors, I may pull them and have them flowed if I cant find any info on the truck. It’s the strongest 7.3 I’ve ever been in. not as fast as my 6.4 truck was when it was built with max powers and all, but it’s no slouch.

    Anyone know this truck

I just bought it this weekend it’s a 99 f250 2wd front axle, but has a transfer case. I worked on it a few months ago and told the guy ( who had just bought it) if he got ready to sell I would be interested, so here we are. It has a lot of really nice suspension work. Dual hpop’s, s467...

    6.4 New Owner Questions

Sct should Vin unlock your tuner for 150$, then you can get a custom tune written for it and tune your 6.4. Your old 6.7 tunes are of no use unless you buy another 6.7 of the same pcm type and you would still have to pay the 150 for a Vin unlock. As others said it's hard to go wrong with a...

TCM flash with Ford IDS vcm

As sootie said yes, pretty much any module that needs programming you always want to return the PCM to stock first.

TCM flash with Ford IDS vcm

Your best bet is gonna be take it to a shop that has a IDS. In the IDs you have to go to install a new module, it will check if there are any later pcm or tcm updates, if so it downloads them erases the current programming in the module and reprograms. It usually will reflash the pcm tcm and any...

Mods that disappointed you when completed.

Lol I been there, mine was on my 6.4, 30% nozzles and a 71mm atmo turbo. Tune only it ran 8.5x 1/8 miles, after all that work it ran a blistering 8.5x...lol. wouldn't maintain rail pressure. I had to tell myself it was better somehow.

    Pushrod length?

If you are using a head that has been machined much beyond 3.74in then you will be wise to use the shorter ones, especially if you go with a non stock cam. If you use new heads or ones with very little taken off the original ones as long as they are straight will be fine.

    Pushrod length?

They are the same part # now. Pretty sure that the only choice at Ford. I have the part number at the shop if someone else doesn't have it. I have 16 on the shelf.

    Lets talk studding

I have done it on a truck I traded for with success but it was a long time ago and I sold it. As far as I know it's still ok. I will never do another one, it's harder to me than doing it correctly. We've done well over a hundred maybe 200 head gasket jobs at my shop and by the time it's all said...

IPR open circuit, but still reads through ECM?

Thanks man, these guys taught me a lot so I try to help when I can.

    Cracked piston

If you can and the block isn't hurt rebuild it, there are piston choices now that don't have issues cracking. It's highly unlikely your block is within speck to run international pistons as they only come in stock bore. If you do a stock short block it's always a chance another stock piston...

IPR open circuit, but still reads through ECM?

It is most likely the harness but I have seen several valves go open internally. Like they already said the % you are seeing is just what the pcm is telling the valve to do, doesn't mean the valve is actually doing what it's told.
