I am going to replace my zf5 s47 with a 42 because I can't find a 47. I have a 96 f super duty. People are telling me that the pto will match up , but one shop that rebuilds the transmissions said that it won't and I will need a different pto . Anyone know . Thanks

I'm trying to get an idea of what to Do here from reading online. People are saying the output shaft is the same. So could I get a 4x4 trans and remove the transfer case and mount the parking brake on the bAck? Did the 4x4 trans come in the s47
