Did my first aux filter drain today. It is doing it's job. Had a small drop of water from the Donaldson. None from the DFCM.

I think you made the right choice. If you weren't towing so heavy, the Lariat would be a no brainer, but given 5K pin in the mountains....450 was the better option.

If it is an early build '11 check for the recalls on the valves. If it is a late '11 should be fine. EGT valves should have been replaced by now. Look for coolant leaks (radiator, coolant hoses, water pump, and turbo lines into the valley). Also watch idle hours; should be about 10% or less...

Go with Retro Solutions SuperBright LEDs. I put them in headlights, and fogs. (also did the turn signals and markers at the same time with the front end torn off) Couldn't be happier with the much greater output (lumens and distance) vs. stock. Pattern is good with current generation...

Check the underside for corrosion. The Canada ones I looked at were all a little more rusty than the US ones. North/East coast is probably the same. Most other places are usually shiny underneath.
