    He's right, you don't really need 1/2" or bigger line seeing as the biggest effective feed lines to the cylinder heads is 1/4".

    Peroni, where did you find the specs for each P/S pump? I've found an HBC-JG and the HBC-MX for about a $6 difference but not sure of internal differences.

    Heliarc is clean, MIG isn't. You want a clean weld with something like that.

    I'd say the old timer is right, silicon bronze is usually used to weld dissimilar metals. I don't see how it could be MIG'd.

    And your steering box is fresh? I had duratracs on stocks with a tired steering box and i held the wheel quite tight on roads with lots of cracks and grooves.
