I’ve alway heard trucks have problems if grounds are missed on these 6.4’s, good or good connection can be troubling.

Doing the removal of the glow plugs and have a question on the ground that runs to mounting bracket from firewall. I’m Installing plugs from punch out so all glow plug related stuff will stay out of truck but what about the ground wire, can I just remove that also? Thanks

I just followed these guys recommendations of just in/out & torque to specs using rcd replacement and all went snug. Just rockers/pushrod replacement here tho for now.

Appreciate your hand to help again. I’ve got a dvd workshop manual so I’ve got access to somethings but I’m just a weekend wrencher so it’s just a hobby. I Didn’t know if the glow plugs out would help me but did know about injectors and have that rebuild kit but don’t wanna pull those if I don’t...

Thanks for your time. I seen a YouTube video on sequence but had to ask as I figured it had a purpose. I don’t believe in short cuts so off front coolers come and out come injectors to bar her over.

Late night in the shop (few beers later) the ds bridges were pulled without notice of orientation. Caught myself on ps and marked those so my question is, does the oval matter weather it’s intake or exhaust? Quick search shows circle towards intake but orientation doesn’t specifically matter...

When it’s used ignorantly clouding up places. Clean power is made smoke free and times have changed.

Down to the ps valve cover for now to change out these rocker assemblies, add some push tubes, upper fuel bowl removal & Lpfs. Stock 211k emissions friendly truck so we’ll see what it can handle bit by bit, then when she fails it’ll get built throughout. Tempted to pull heads & turbos to start...

Haven’t done so but heard the inner connection closet to engine is what’s removable.

Finished the removal process (damn cooler mount removal is always a itch for me) and now time for a flush. Threw intake elbow on also, T-stats to follow once flush is complete now that you and reach them since vertical cooler mounts gone.

I can’t answer your questions directly either as I’m running em toones for now. Plan is to scrap it all but wanted to give the future a chance before stripping her (17 currently 13k on it). With that said, I have already got those bolts out (do it while engine is warm, wobble needed on a bolt...
