6.0 hard start
I tested the batteries already and put new connections on so I know it's not that. And how do I have my FICM tested? Just go to the dealer? Commando, It just has a long crank time but it still starts up and idles just fine there after, no lope, doesn't idle rough, just takes awhile to crank... -

6.0 hard start
Over the last week or so my 03 6.0 has started hard, it cranks for about 5 seconds or so. Does it while its warm or cold. Anybody know what the issue could be? Also, it does have throw a few puffs of bluish smoke on start up on cold mornings, is this a big deal or no? Thanks guys. -

6.0 EGR questions
I recently picked up an '03 6.o and just noticed today that the plug in for the EGR was unplugged but I'm almost certain the EGR was never deleted. Is this bad or should I leave it in? How do I know if it was deleted without removing it? Thanks! -

Yeah most shops I've talked to have been in the 4-4500 range but I have a buddy that knows this and he's giving me a good deal! -

I'm comfortable and trust myself but I'm pretty new to the diesel world so I'm a little hesitant. I just had a quote of around $3,500 for ARP studs, OEM gaskets, egr delete, go through the oil cooler, and do the coolant filtration. Just an independent guy that does it out of the house, works on... -

Thanks guys! Yeah I have a couple buddies with 6.0's and they love them. It seems like you either love them or hate them and I for one love mine. For a stock cclb I'm really impressed with the power that it has. Couple months I'll be having the head studs and EGR delete done.- MN6.0guy

Yeah that's the first thing to go. I wouldn't mind getting the bullet proof oil cooler as well and do both at once. Atleast where I'm at I'm allowed to delete the EGR! Some states aren't so lucky..- MN6.0guy

New to diesels from central minnesota
Hello all, I'm 22 from central MN and just bought my first diesel. 2003 F350 CCLB lariat with a 6.0, gorgeous truck. Mainly stock with a 4" turbo back. If anybody has tips or advice my ears and mind are always open! Thanks guys!- MN6.0guy
