Just wrecked my truck. Looking for front end upgrades
Well, I got all my replacement parts sorted out. Thanks for the insight everybody who contributed. When I get the last few parts I'm waiting on for the lift kit, I'll start a "repair/build" thread on the stuff being changed up. I just checked out the baja designs. Super nice lights, with a price to match. Any other high quality HID/LED recommendations for round lights? I'm not a fan of the plastic lenses in the rigid stuff, especially since they don't offer service parts, and require you to send the whole thing in for...- Wayne

The bumpers suggested so far do have their appeal... :toast: Perhaps I should also mention this truck is going to be sitting on 40's & 20x12 fuel beast wheels, with a One Up Offroad 10" lift within the next couple months. It's a lot to visualize from where it's at now with the boring stock...- Wayne

Moving from Nitto Terra 325/50R22 to Ridge 37x12.50R22
It all boils down to sidewall height. The taller the sidewall, the better strength and ride quality you can get. well, you do make a few good points in there, and since you used the word "science", effectively invalidating my statements, I digress. :flush: ...and all this time I thought nitrous was an oxidizer, not a fuel. Dang. :shrug: I guess tuning for diesel fuel injection timing to control...- Wayne

It might not pass. Visually, it'll pass with flying colors, but when these trucks do a self test, unless the turbo lights as fast as the very tight stock parameters require, it'll pull a CEL and codes for turbo performance failure on stock tuning. Nitrous on non built motors?
To add insight to a few comments, here are some of my experiences with my 6.4 on spray, which carry over in principle. #1- Nitrous can, and does drop EGT's ......if you spray it hard enough. Most people only see EGT increases because they start out with way too much fuel, and aren't brave/...- Wayne

How many miles on your 6.4?
225K here. technically mine's running engine #4. previous owner ran dirty fuel, rode it hard, and put it away wet. ended up burning a hole in a piston at 110K, then again at 160K, same thing. Both times due to lack of maintenance and bad fuel. It had a low miles studded factory reman (engine #3)... -
