    It's definitely different, at least to me. I've never liked (or hated) the ruby red. It just seems too girly for my taste. Maybe it's the purple hue that's gone. rapid red looks way better to me.

    **Final update** ...theoretically. pump bushing was bad enough to allow fluid to blow past the still good pump seal. It's getting a full trans rebuild so I suspect we're at the end of this saga.

    Well, it got a billet Suncoast flexplate and new OE harmonic balancer. The flexplate is still good, but it blew the pump seal after about 3 weeks of use. It's had delayed reverse, so I've got the trans on the bench now to correct that, or replace the whole thing if it's too badly damaged, and...

    If I was you, I'd have them repaired, then try to sell them. that, or just scrap them. You'll have lot better success IMO. Most would only offer scrap prices unless parts were known to be good. It's a peace of mind thing.
