1997 OBS No start, any ideas?
If ICP is low, it's more than likely a bad IPR or high pressure pump. The reservoir is constantly being fed by the low pressure pump, it can't be low because of a recent oil change, if your oil pressure gauge is coming up while cranking, then the reservoir level is fine.- Petro

I could be wrong, but I seriously doubt it. I have little to no faith in 7.3 contribution test, rarely do they ever tell me jack sh!t. 6.0s on the other hand, are a different story. The computer tech is soo stupid on a 7.3, you're pretty much just p!ssing in the wind. -

Not sure what a contribution test would tell you about a hot no start issue do to a high pressure oil issue, nothing useful that I can think of. Was this truck doing this before you replaced the hpop? If no, I would suspect the pump even if it is only a year old. When it refuses to start... -

That seems to be how it is with bigger power 7.3s in my area. The 4 or 5 trucks that I've seen throw rods, never do it while using the power, it's usually cruising down the highway or weird **** like that.- Petro

Ran into a little catch today on a customer's pickup. 2000 F350 7.3 ZF6 4x4. Truck came in and the owner said it had a slight miss and a check engine light. In the Ops pictures you can still see the stains on the deck. I clean every deck to the same level as the op with an air rotary tool and have yet to have a failure with around 30 stud jobs. Unless the deck itself is warped or uneven, I doubt the amount he took off has anything to do with why... -
2013+ steering gearbox in older trucks
Soo the 11+ boxes are a direct bolt in to 08 -10 but are the 08-10 boxes an upgrade over the 05 - 07 boxes or are they basically the same? Would like to upgrade my 06 box since it totally trashed. I have access to a low mile 08 box, is it worth the swap or find a 11+ instead?- Petro

Fender well opening size
I'm fairly confident they are all sized the same. I have ran 35s on every single one of my 10+ superdutys all the way from Early 99 to late 2008 and I know plenty with 35s on 6.7s. None of mine rubbed. I even had 37s on an early 99 without a lift, rubbed very little after a little trimming.- Petro

How many miles on your 6.4?
6 months and 12,000 miles into ownership and it cracked a piston at 155k. Cruising down the highway and all of a sudden developed a miss, wasn't even slightly surprised. Time for a motor build i guess. -
6.0 IPR wiring heat shield
No its not needed, but it doesn't hurt to have it. I know of a ton of 6 liters running around without them without any IPR issues. On my personal trucks I throw every single one right in the trash. The shield makes changing IPRs that much more difficult on the side of thr road without pulling...
