    2020 6.7 Problems

Literally have started 6.4s and 6.7s at well below zero by just jumping in and rolling the key straight to crank without a single hesitation and every time they fire and run without a hiccup. Its about time you stop commenting and start looking at other diesels besides 7.3s. In the real world...

    Optimal tow setup

Put together a ton of 238/100 38r and s366 combo's. 90 percent of these were daily driver tow rigs and after 5 or 6 years guys are still driving and towing heavy with them. When tuned correctly, Its a very strong running setup that tows very well. Lot of guys will steer you away from drop in...

    2020 6.7 Problems

There's literally no need to wait for them. Ive never seen a healthy common rail fail to start or sound different because you didn't cycle thr glue plugs. The only reason they are there, is for cold start emissions like stated above. If it sounded like a 7.3 with bad injectors, you have other...

    2020 6.7 Problems

[/B] Its a common rail, not a 7.3. Guarantee you can completely disable the glow plugs and it'll pop right off at 0 without a single hiccup.

Nice looking t4 kit with the 364 5

Looks like a clean fit. Is the price pretty comparable to Irate?

where should i be hp wise

With everything correct tuning wise, you should be between 5 and 550 easy enough. Probably on the lower end but a fun setup either way. Put together a ton of setups just like this and people were always very happy with the outcome.

    Up pipes

I've used BD's 6.0 style up-pipes many times with little trouble. Over the years I have had to replace the passenger side pipe a couple times but they were a few years old each time.

    KC Turbos 6.4 turbo testing

Have a rough guesstimate on when these chargers will hit the market?

DD ZF5 with Big air and fuel

Loaded 24 foot stock trailers, 30 foot dual tandem flatbed loaded with other pickups, stuff like that was some of the towing I seen. It had its fair share of trouble, but a majority of it was from the shear ass kicking it took day in and day out. There's several in the area at around the 500...

DD ZF5 with Big air and fuel

My vote is some 3/2's and an S468. It will almost undoubtedly sh!t a rod out of the block at some point but it will be fun for awhile. Ive put together a handful of setups like this for local guys with manual trucks, they're fun to drive and fairly reliable. Id say as reliable as a 500+...

6.0 to 7.3 swap? Or axle swap?

Why not sell the 6 liter and go buy a crew short 7.3? They are literally everywhere and you'll probably be money ahead.

    Kc300x

I put together a diy 66 with a 1.00 exhaust housing and ran it with stock injectors on a 6 speed truck for about a year before I sold the truck and in all honesty I really liked the charger. I didn't really notice a lot of difference in spool up compared to the stock turbo and i never really...

    Kc300x

I'm far from butt hurt, I just get really tired of seeing posts saying drop in chargers can not work with larger injectors when I have seen just the opposite first hand with multiple trucks. Several of these trucks have 3.73 gears and 35" tires. Have installed these setups with both autos and 6...

    Kc300x

Ive installed drop in chargers on trucks with stock up to 200% nozzles, and while they may be slightly lazier than the sxe, i never though it was bad enough to warrant spending another grand to upgrade to the sxe for a high mileage work pickup all to make between 350 and 500 hp. Now if a guy...

You'll more than likely be more than happy with the drop in KC charger. I cant count on two hands all the 7.3's in this area running drop in turbos with bigger injectors and they run and tow just fine and the owners are more than happy with them. Hell, I used to run a drop in 66 with stock ad...

    KC Turbos 6.4 turbo testing

This ^^^. I'll own another one of these turds again probably within the next year, I'll definitely be looking for a set of drop in compounds. Looking forward to having more options.

Broke off glow plug, remove heads?

Ran into this issue on a superduty 7.3 a few years back. I used a pair of vise grips with a slide hammer attachment. If you can get a good bite on it, I'm sure it will come out but it's going to be a b!tch since its conveniently way in the back under the cowl. It took several good hits to get...

    Experienced help needed, please!

I'll bet 1000 dollars that the heads are cracked. Not saying that they were when it was put together, but I bet they are now.
