Charging issue

Just got a call from a friend. His neighbors truck is having alternator issues. New alt, new batts and new starter. Turns out old alt was checked and found to be ok. While running large wire is just showing battery voltage 11.8V, normally I would see 13.8 to 14 volts on my old truck. The...

WTB 6.4L

Yes, I just found an '08 CC SB FX4 Job 3 build for $33.5k with 44k miles. I put a little over $1k in it for tunes, intake and exhaust. This thing is so much faster than my '03 7.3L it's not even funny. Just take your time and don't settle, there are plenty of good trucks out there.

Starter

I've heard and could be wrong but the high torque start from DB is from China and not very reliable. I got one from them years ago and it was an actual Nippondenso. Might try to find someone who actually sells that version. Again could be wrong. These guys carry them....never had any...

Baldwin Filters?

If you need Ferd parts I'd highly recommend going to Sunrise Ford + they are a sponsor. I got a pretty good price on Motorcraft filters I think they were like $5 bucks more than the Racors quoted above.

2008 lariat no heat drivers side

Not knowing these trucks very well (I've only had mine for a few months), but by judging the responses to this post did you confirm that the actuator worked before installing it? Just wondering if the new one was bad. Again don't know these trucks very well, but I would pull it off the blend...

looking at a 6.4 tomorrow

Look to make sure it hasn't been puking coolant out of the degas bottle. Also look and see if there are any coolant leaks near the radiator or egr system. For the most part the computer is sensitive enough to throw a code for any engine or transmission issues.
