Trans went boom ;( thoughts?

Is there a reason NOT to go with a comp unit? I am at 200k miles and got a fairly finicky trans so replacement is coming soon. I don't ever plan on being at rod bending power but would like to get to the point I have my 63mm non vgt maxed on fuel so not sure I need a comp but if shifting is not...

Budget build?

I'd go as big as you can unless space is a concern. You could put an 8 in a ported box to make it louder but 2 10s will be way better. If you use the factory head unit get the remote for the lc2 so you can adjust the bass volume for what type of music you are listening to. My next step will be...

Best muffler options once EPA goodies are removed?

I have a 45" Donaldson in 5" pipe. Truck sounds stock on the inside but somewhere between stock and a flowmaster on the outside. I did it because 700 mile hauls with the loud pipe drove me nuts, couldn't carry a conversation but now quiet and nice inside with lots of turbo whistle on the outside.

Is anyone else draining your fuel rail?

Do it all the time depending on conditions. In the mountains I use tow but if I'm headed south to the beach it is all downhill and I only go 65 so this is the first time anything has happened. Had a 30 mph headwind combined with trying to pass a slow vehicle in traffic likely contributed. I keep...

Is anyone else draining your fuel rail?

I just got the T Y rant tunes from NL and had a shutdown while pulling my fiver. Granted, I was on the hottest tune and pulling 15K+ pounds, I switched to the tow tune and was easy on it after that and it didn't shut down again. I have a 2012 with non vgt and all stock on the fuel. Haven't tried...

The IC pipe has a 90 on it that goes down into the 90 boot. I could turn it towards the turbo and run a straight section off the housing but clearance could be an issue because there is very little room between the compressor and the fuel lines in the valley. I could use a 45 degree bend pipe to...

Budget build?

I have the lc2i with 2 JL 10s and a JL ATV Amp that goes 300w @ 2ohms. Sounds much better than stock but nowhere close to a full system. My complaints are the lack of balance between subs and the rest of the system and lack of volume. I have aftermarket door and cab speakers but don't remember...

Unique Turbo Question

I think it will all line up I would just need a coupler that is 2.5 on the turbo side and 3 on the IC side. I'm guessing I would need to remove the turbo so I can take it apart and rotate the housing?

Could the fix be as simple as re-clocking it? I know it wouldn't be easy work but to me it looks like it could work out, just don't know what all would be involved in turning it counter clockwise to 3 o'clock.

I towed with GH extreme file with no issues, temps were good but I also didn't dog it. I tow the fiver at 65 because I don't want to risk a tire and no need to go faster but once in a while I need to pass someone so was always in hottest tune. After driving around today I'll say the GH engine...

Shifting was the same regardless of tune. If I'm in tow/haul on the transmission then it does shift a little different but more on the down shifts. The T Y rant tunes shift much better. I still have a stronger shift in 1-2, 3-4, and 5-6 but not nearly as bad as before. The 3-2 downshift is...

It's a crap shoot but have to try it before I just decide to live with it. Been this way for over a year now, no better no worse after each version of transmission file from GH so on to T Y rant. I loaded them last night but haven't driven the truck so I'll report back later today.

I have Industrial's single kit, was called Viper but they renamed it now and are offering more sizes. Mine is a non vgt 64/68/14 and my question is regarding the intercooler connection. Mine is off the bottom of the turbo and the connection is a silicone 90 elbow that the piping from the IC...
