FWIW, 3k on the oil changes is pretty frequent. Not bad but more often than most 7.3 owners. You can get away with 5K. Then do fuel filter every 2nd oil change. Save you a bit of cash also.

Id check out your EBPV tube going from your passenger manifold to the front of the motor just under the HPOP gear cover. If clogged will cause low MPG issues. Could also be the sensor itself. If you have AE you can monitor you Exhaust back Pressure to see if its even working correctly. I know...
