Sounds like a mess, mine just bypasses the factory pump but I already cut a hole and put a sump in my tank for better draw. Gonna get some soapy water when I get home and check for leaks. It's only 2 weeks old.

Where will the excess air in system go? Just inside the tank?

Ok I will try that today, my truck won't bump though it is so new that just tapping the key forward it'll crank over till truck starts unlike older trucks that you had to actually Hold the key to crank over and start the truck. So I will just turn key on which turns my pump on, then off, 4x.

So after letting truck sit over night I wake up to start it and just cranks so I have to twist fuel filter 1/4 turn to let air out until fuel comes out and it will fire right up then. If I let it sit too long I have to go back and repeat that again. Is there still air in system? Truck is...
