My 02 did that while on the road. Ended up being the injector orings. They were not holding pressure and the computer was keeping the truck from starting. Had to re-oring all the injectors. Worked great after that.

If I am running 65 at the base of the hill and push the OD button to take it out of OD and into D, it will try to shift to 2nd. I have tried it...many times. At least it feels like 2nd, it is pretty close to red lining.

If I lock it out of OD it won't go into OD. It will go thru the gears from take off. And with the rearend gears the 550 is born with it screams over 50 mph.

I will take a look at the firewall grommets. It comes out of both sides but more the passenger side. Thought maybe there was a damaged vent or something. It is a lot of air flow. Not just like a little heat leaking through the floor.
