International Scout would be pretty sweet too.

    Stainless steel injector cups

I had a Bronco years ago and was shopping around for a donor truck either 12v or 7.3 to do the swap when I found my excursion. It was while I was bringing the Ex home I started to realize I wouldn't be keeping the Bronco. My excursion is the centurion I never got to have, and now that it is...

    Stainless steel injector cups

It's going very differently than originally planned. I'll update as things progress. I do miss my old bronco. I have strong feelings that if I come across a full size bronco for the right price that is what I'll be doing with this engine.

    Stainless steel injector cups

Trigger warning. Going to be a couple three weeks before this build is up and running. Cups installed fine, seated with a solid hit. I didn't see any need for them to be rolled in as the design appears to lock them in place far better than the traditional brass cups. Since these cups are...

Hpop took care of it. It would be nice if someone sold rebuild parts for those. just sayin.

Led dash lights stay dimly lit

Most LEDs don't have enough internal resistance. Using LEDs for Canbus systems will sometimes work, for other situations a load resistor will be needed. I know when I did my gauge cluster LEDs, I had to switch the airbag light back to a regular bulb because it always glowed and set off the...

    A1000 Fuel pump alternatives

The outlet is some weird 10mm I think. I run the AN adapter fittings on the outlet. I had not thought of using a compression fitting on the inlet. I may have to look into that when the weather warms up. Just pushing the hose on and using worm clamps has worked, it just looks like crap.

    A1000 Fuel pump alternatives

I run dual stock pumps in a diy setup. Partly because it was less expensive than other high flow options, and because it is a proven reliable pump x2. Today's prices might make that pointless, but they do have a good history of running 100% duty cycle for ages before they fail. The only thing I...

I may try that too, just to see what they say. I'm still trying to convince myself if I do enough things it will get better or be some other problem. Just a bit more troubleshooting and I can blame it on something else. I'm pretty sure that will work.😣 Something...something the same task...

I'm going to try a couple more things. So far all roads lead to my hpop being the problem. I even took a new ipr & icp out of the package just to make sure. I just really don't want it to be the hpop right now. dangit. But it has been doing it's job since 2014 in the ballpark of 200k. How...

2013+ steering gearbox in older trucks

Yeah, the sector shaft on the 11-16 boxes is HUGE by comparison. Another consideration when increasing the steering force, as with any upgrade the next link in the chain has to be upgraded as well or it becomes the new failure point. Hopefully, they would be using a completely new shaft made for...

2013+ steering gearbox in older trucks

That could be a good find for some folks. Those committed to staying with a dana 50 anyway. If it's using the original mounting bolts, it's not likely the newer box that mounts with 16mm bolts. Maybe a non-issue but I don't know if I would want more steering force and not upgrade the hardware.

These injectors are great! It shows how bad the old ones were. Honestly, worse than I thought. The idle is so smooth, even cured a little vibration I had become acclimated to. Definitely a loyal customer here. Went through the post-injector swap ritual and got it running. With air in the system...

    Stainless steel injector cups

That is a really neat set of tools. I mean, is there a man here that isn't a bit of a tool junkie? I am curious if that is needed due to how cups are manufactured rather than the material used.

I thought that was a nice touch. Marking them like that has got to be quite valuable for keeping track of QC and troubleshooting any issues that crop up. The sheet with the max and idle flow is another thing I've not ever seen included before. I've got tunes ordered from a couple of places to...

    Stainless steel injector cups

I'm curious about what's wrong with the RiffRaff SS injector cups. What failures have happened and what was the cause of the failure? I have been considering using them for a build.

Looks like I'm going with 238/80 in a couple of weeks. Nothing is as fun as changing injectors in the snow 🥶 but it is the only time off I'll have to do it. Maybe I'll drive around a bit beforehand so the engine can keep me warm. When you say the new last longer than the reman, I'm curious...
