I have the same issue. The only thing for me is I’m swapping an 03 motor into an 05 chassis going from automatic to manual. Swapped over engine harness extended ICP pigtail motor came out of a running and driving truck just rotted out SCT tuner change the idle to 950 it’ll run an idle all day...
